Your Privacy Matters

1. Information We Collect

Mariner Vault stores your credentials, documents, photographs, notes, and related professional records locally on your device. Billiot Software does not receive, access, or store that content.

Separately from the records you keep in the application, we may receive:

• Subscription information, such as the status of a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Support communications, including information you choose to provide when contacting us for technical, account, or product support.
• Information necessary to operate the Service, such as information required to process or verify subscription status.

Mariner Vault does not use third-party advertising or analytics services to build advertising profiles about you.

2. Local Storage

Mariner Vault is built around local storage. Credentials, documents, photographs, notes, and other professional records are kept on your device and remain under your control.

Billiot Software does not use your stored professional records for advertising, profiling, or unrelated commercial purposes.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

If you purchase a subscription to Mariner Vault, the purchase is processed through the applicable app store, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Billiot Software does not directly receive or store your payment card number, bank account information, or other payment credentials used to complete an app-store purchase.

We may receive limited subscription-related information, such as whether a subscription is active, expired, or otherwise entitled to subscription features, as necessary to provide the Service.

4. App Permissions

Mariner Vault may request access to certain device features when you choose to use functions that require them. You can grant or deny each request and change your choice later in your device settings.

• Camera: Used when you choose to photograph a credential, document, or other material for storage in the app.
• Photos or Photo Library: Used when you choose to select existing photographs or documents from your device.
• Notifications: Used to provide optional credential reminders and other local notifications.
• Biometric Authentication: Used through the device's operating-system security mechanisms when you enable biometric app protection. Billiot Software does not receive or store your biometric information, and the application is only told whether authentication succeeded or failed.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information we receive only as necessary to operate, maintain, support, secure, and improve Mariner Vault. This includes:

• Providing and maintaining subscription features.
• Responding to support requests and communications.
• Maintaining the security and functionality of the Service.
• Complying with applicable legal obligations.
• Improving the Service.

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

6. Third-Party Services

Mariner Vault relies on third-party platforms for services necessary to distribute and operate the application.

• Apple Inc. — App distribution, App Store services, and subscription or purchase processing on Apple platforms.
• Google LLC — App distribution, Google Play services, and subscription or purchase processing on Android platforms.

These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Billiot Software does not control how these third parties process information under their respective services.

Mariner Vault does not use third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party crash-reporting services.

7. Data Security

Mariner Vault protects the records stored on your device using AES-256 encrypted local storage, along with optional biometric authentication provided by your device's operating system.

Because your records are stored on your device, their security also depends on your device's own protections, including your passcode, operating-system security updates, and physical control of the device.

No method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

Information stored locally within Mariner Vault remains on your device until you delete it, remove the application, or otherwise remove the data through the functionality provided by the application.

Billiot Software cannot recover locally stored information on your behalf if it is lost, deleted, or otherwise becomes inaccessible. Keep your own independent copies of anything important to you.

Limited information that we receive directly, such as support communications or subscription-related records, is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or maintain business records.

9. Your Information and Your Choices

You retain control of the professional information you store in Mariner Vault. You may add, modify, export, or delete information within the application at any time, without asking us.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights regarding the limited information we hold directly, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it, or receive a copy of it. To make a request, email privacy@billiotsoftware.com . We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

10. Exported Content

Mariner Vault may allow you to export, share, or otherwise transmit documents, reports, inspection packets, or other information from the application.

Once you export or share information, that copy leaves the application and is no longer covered by the protections described here. Billiot Software does not control how recipients subsequently store, use, or share it.

11. Children's Privacy

Mariner Vault is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information directly to Billiot Software, please contact us at privacy@billiotsoftware.com and we will delete it.

12. International Users

Billiot Software is based in the United States. Information that we receive directly may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

By using the Service, you understand that information you provide directly to Billiot Software may be processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection laws than the jurisdiction in which you reside.

13. Business Transfers

If Billiot Software is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information that we lawfully maintain may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and any required notices.

14. Future Features

Future versions of Mariner Vault may introduce additional features, including optional cloud synchronization, backup, or other services that transmit information to Billiot Software or a service provider.

Any such feature will be optional and described before you enable it. We will not begin transmitting your records off your device without your explicit choice to turn the feature on, and this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Billiot Software may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, applicable law, or our information practices.

When material changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service or our website.
